HALE Museum (Hawaiian Ancestry, Language, and
Ecology) is a rebranding of the Bishop Museum in
Honolulu, Hawaii. “Hale” in Hawaiian means house
or place of belonging. The institution archives and
represents the interests and ideologies of the
ancient Hawaiian culture.
