Malama Nohua in Hawaiian means “to care for
the Earth”. It’s a current voyage that is aiming to
sail around the entire Earth relying only on the
indigenous practices of wayfinding, meaning no
modern technology or maps. The journey is all
about reconnecting ourselves with ancient cultures,
restoring our respect towards nature, and
rediscovering the act of voyaging. An exhibition
documenting their jouney will be held at the
HALE Museum.
